RV Awning Repair in Guntersville, Alabama
Torn fabric, a bent arm, or a powered awning that won't open or close, it can end a trip in the shade you were counting on. Tell us what yours is doing, we've got you, and we'll get you back to camping.
Repair the Awning, Replace the Fabric, or Replace the Whole Thing
An RV awning takes more abuse than almost anything on your rig. Sun breaks down the fabric, wind bends the arms and tears the material, and powered awnings add motors, switches, and sensors that can fail. The good news is most awning problems do not mean a whole new awning.
Sometimes the fix is a fresh piece of fabric on good hardware. Sometimes it is a bent arm or a worn roller. Sometimes a powered awning just needs a motor or a switch. And sometimes, when the hardware is worn out, a full replacement is the better value.
Tell us what yours is doing, and we've got you. We get you an accurate diagnosis and a straight answer on what it takes, so the decision is always yours.
RV Awning Problems We Fix
Patio awning, slide topper, or window awning, manual or powered, these are the problems we see most often.
Torn, faded, or worn fabric
Years of sun and weather break the fabric down until it tears, stretches, or fades through. In most cases we replace the fabric on your existing hardware, which is far less than a complete awning. We match your size and color and get you back to shade.
Won't extend or retract
A manual awning that fights you or a powered awning that won't move usually comes down to the arm mechanism, the roller spring tension, or, on electric models, the motor, switch, or wiring. We find what is actually stopping it instead of guessing.
Bent or broken arm
Wind is the number one killer of awnings. A gust catches it and bends an arm, snaps a rafter, or twists the hardware. Many arms and rafters can be repaired or replaced without replacing the whole awning. We assess the assembly and give you a straight answer.
Powered awning motor or switch failure
Electric awnings add a motor, a control switch, and often a wind sensor, each one a possible failure point. If yours hums but won't move, stops partway, or does nothing at all, we test the motor, controls, and wiring to find the cause.
Won't stay rolled up or flaps loose
A roller that lost spring tension, a worn end cap, or a failed travel lock can leave your awning loose on the road, which is how a small problem becomes a destroyed awning and body damage. We restore tension and locking so it travels safely.
Slide topper worn or torn
The small awnings over your slide rooms keep debris and water off the slide, and they wear out from constant sun exposure. A failed slide topper lets water and leaves pile on the slide roof. We replace slide toppers along with patio and window awnings.
Every Awning on Your RV
Patio Awnings

RV Awning Questions We Hear Every Day
In most cases the fabric can be replaced on its own. If the roller tube, arms, and hardware are sound, a new fabric is the right fix and far less expensive than a full awning. If the hardware is also damaged or worn out, replacing the complete awning can be the better value. Tell us what yours looks like and we get you an accurate diagnosis and a straight answer on what it takes, so the decision is always yours.
Yes. We repair powered patio awnings including motor failures, control switches, wind sensors, and wiring faults, as well as the manual spring-loaded type. If your powered awning won't extend or retract, makes noise, or stops partway, we find the cause and tell you what it takes to fix it.
Often yes. Bent or seized arms, broken rafters, and worn pivot hardware can usually be repaired or replaced without replacing the entire awning. Wind damage is the most common cause we see. We assess the arm assembly and roller, then give you a straight answer on whether a repair or a replacement is the better call for your awning.
Yes. We service patio awnings, slide toppers (the small awnings over your slide rooms that keep debris and water off the slide), and window and door awnings. Slide toppers take a beating from sun and weather and are a common replacement. We handle all of them.
